if you ever face any problems with your Ipod touch / Iphone you can easily restore it via iTunes. while jailbreaking it happens often. here is the
standard procedure:(basicalli you are enabling DFU mode and connecting)
1. Power on your ipod/iphone.
2. Press both power and home button and hold for 10 secs( power button is the small button on the top and home button is the big button below the screen ).
3. It will switch it off gracefully.
4. apple logo will be displayed.
5. now leave the power button, but keep holding the home button.
6. itunes connect logo will be displayed.
7. now you can leave the home button too, ipod/iphone is in DFU mode now.
8. connect the USB cable, iTunes will detect it and you are intelligent enough to restore now.
but sometimes this procedure won't work, happened with me when i was changing root password on my jailbroken ipod touch 1.1.4 . It was looping on the main springboard app. reloading every 10 secs. But I somehow discovered a way to restore it from that situation.
here is the procedure:1. first of all connect USB cable and open ITunes.
2. switch it off gracefully(holding power and home button)
3. power on , as soon as apple logo is displayed press and hold the home button
4. your computer will detect it as a new DFU hardware, and will install it automatically.
5. It will appear in iTunes then, Bingo you are done!!!
